Forever New

Forever New is one of my favourite Australian shops, its a little pricey but the clothes are always amazing (quite similar to Topshop), they sell Lipsy and their shoes are out of this world.
This blog post is about the 3 pairs of shoes that I have purchased. . .the black sling back heels in Melbourne and the other two in Sydney.

Anyway tell me what you think of them:

Black Sling Backs - seriously comfy but still needs a bit of wearing in.

Sparkly Heels - these are my disco dancing fever shoes.

My newest beauties - black ankle boots with gold studs =]

Bondi Market

This Morning I went for a wander round Bondi Market in the school grounds hoping not to buy anything due to a rejection interview shortly before and a big lack of money, unfortunatly I, as always, couldn't resist the hidden treasures that it had to offer.

The first item that I purchased was a navy blue cardigan for $45. However, this was no ordinary cardigan - on the shoulders were black soft feathers, reminding me of the recent Victoria Secret catwalks where the models had large elaborate wings attached to their backs. I had to get it, mostly for its orginality but also for the metorphorical feeling of freedom and flying when one walked. Tell me what you think:

The second item I purchased was a necklace and the reason I spotted it was because of the heart charm that hung from the thick black rope. Its a silver heart with the words live, love, laugh engraved down it and it really lifted my mood and made me feel a whole lot better about the choices I am making at the moment. However, I didn't like the other charms it came with so the woman custamised it and added it to a silver ball charm which is simple but still elegant. Tell me what you think:

  10. Don't worry about Any rules.

Picture Tag!

So I saw this on '*Dainty*Dollymixes*' (http://daintydollymix.blogspot.com/) blog and thought it looked like a bit of fun!

Here are the rules as follows:

1. Open your first Photo Folder
2. Scroll to the 10th Picture
3. Post the photo & tell the story of it
4. Tag 5 or more people!

So here goes. . .

This is a picture of my friend Jessamy Lowe and I at Baroque in London celebrating our friend Katy's 18th birthday! The dress I am wearing is from the Andy Warhol foundation for Pepe Jeans and is totally covered in multi-coloured Campbell soup cans. I also remember that night I was wearing killer bright pink platforms that made my feet hurt soooooo much!

Interview with Model Milly Alicia Simmonds

1. What made you decide to become a model and were your family and friends supportive of your decision?
I was scouted by various agencies such as storm, models 1 and select at the clothes show live. Yes my parents are very supportive, especially by the fact that I have a job I love!
2. Which do you prefer: Catwalks or photoshoots and why?
I prefer runway as the adrenalin rush is amazing, and it seems more of a challenge!
3. Do you believe that being a model is more based on looks or personality and why?
Obviously you have to have a certain look to be a model but personality is very important as well as obviously everyone preferes someone who smiles and is chatty!
4. Do you plan to go to University and make modelling a part time hobby or try and make more of a career out of it?
I decided to stick with modelling for a career. . . I can go to uni whenever!
5. If modelling didn't work out, would you still want to be a part of the fashion buisness and what aspect would this be?
Yes, I think id like to be a stylist if I did work in fashion.... or work for a magazine and organise shoots...
6. Are you satisfied with your looks, size etc or is there something you would like to change?
Yes i'm happy with my most of my body! If I had to change anything then it would probably have to be my hips!

7. How do you keep in shape?
I keep in shape by eating healthy when i'm in work. For instance i'm trying to get in shape for fashion week in a few months so i'm taking up yoga, and I eat a healthy balanced low carb diet.
8. If you could model one designer's clothes whose would it be and why? Catwalk or photoshoot?
Most probably valentino as the dresses are beautiful! Runway would be amazing!
9. Modelling takes up a lot of time, when you do have some free how do you spend it?
When I have free time I like to catch up with friends, go clubbing and out to bars, shop and see my family.. and also work out, go on holiday!
10. What do you personally think your greatest modelling achievement has been so far?
I shot for Vogue not that long ago and Elle main fashion ...
11. What is most important to you: your career, family, or friends?
It would have to be my family!

My future goals are to be well known in the fashion indutry and land a really good campaign as that's where it all starts! My plans are to travel as much as i can and model for as long as i can!

Interview with Photographer Helen Norman

1. What made you decide to be a photographer and were your family and friends supportive of the decision?
My dad - he'd got into it. I'd always been creative but I never quite found out how. One day I picked up his camera for fun and 2 years down the line i've barely put it down.
2. Have you always loved photography or did you discover your passion by accident?
Accidental definitely.
3. What sort of shoots do you prefer?
I prefer fashion and portrait shoots as you can move the person around, include props, get different looks and you also meet alot of people.
4. What is your dream photoshoot?
I'd love to do a fashion shoot in Tokyo, Japan. There's something about the vibrance that i'd just love to capture, i'd also love to work alongside Lara Jade that would be fantastic.
5. When you're a photographer are the models difficult or easy to deal with? Have you had any interesting shoots with problem models?
I'd say mostly models can be good however you do get the fair few that behave a bit diva like. I can't say which shoot because then the model would know who i was speaking about. You can get the probelm that models think you don't need paying when actually we pick the location, the clothing and we edit.

6. Do you treat your photography as more of a hobby or a career?
Both at the moment, its more of a hobby, however my business HJK Imagery now has 148 fans and i've had a few paying clients.
7. Do you prefer natural or photoshop editing? Do you find photoshop and other photo editing software easy to use?
I love photoshop but i think you need your setting to be good. Its like make-up, you wouldn't put blusher on without foundation first thats the same as finding a location you wouldn't just pick anywhere.
8. What do you believe is your biggest achievement with your photography at the moment?
Just hearing people saying lovely things and it means alot when i have a fair few people interested in my casting calls, that means a lot to me.
9. What is most important to you: your career, family, or friends?
I think we all need a mixture of all 3, but i shall say your friends. Your friends are the ones who will be there for you, you can talk to your friends about things you can't always speak to your parents about.
10. Which model or designer's clothes would you most like to shoot and why?
I'd love to shoot Mischa Barton she's so beautiful and has a great connection with the camera.
