What is the perfect school bag?

My first ever school bag that I recall was a blue brief case style canvas bag with a velcro seal, little handle and my school (Leicester High School for girls)' symbol. From this I moved onto a plain black rucksack (school rules), but as I grew older I became more and more rebellious with colour schemes until in about year 8 I ended up with a pink flowered Roxy rucksack which I thought was the coolest thing ever; looking back on it, it probably wasn't all the cool.

Bags have always been a very big part of my life as I believe a good bag makes the final cut to your outfit. If the bag isn't right, then the outfit isn't looking that hot either. However, even though I own a wide selection I am very picky and like them to be a little different. The most expensive bag I ever bought was a bag I found at Burghley Horse Trials on one of the stalls. It is made out of old recycled metal such as car parts, bottles caps etc with the song words 'I get a kick out of champagne' surrounding champagne glasses with the bubbles made out of Swarovski crystals. Another bag of mine that I love is a Paparazzi clutch with the magazine cover on an issue of gardening with the words 'English Rose' in italics. A bag I use on all my nights out, no matter what I’m wearing or where I am going is a giant leopard print clutch from River Island (been known to fit a bottle of wine in there). I love it because it is big enough to fit all my junk in cigarettes, lighter, camera, phones, makeup, money, keys etc but also has three ways of carrying it; under the shoulder, handle and chain.

Today after arriving at FBI I realised I needed a bag other than the free FBI bag that was given to me as even though it is big and sturdy I need something a little more stylish and something that screams fashion and who I am.
So after my course I went to the bag shop in Bondi Junction and instantly fell in love with and purchased a blue quilted limited edition Guess bag.
Hopefully it will show my sense of fashion taste and flair.
So what's your first memory of a school bag and what's your fave bag?

FBI

After failing to get into London College of Fashion for the third time back in Februrary I truly never believed that I would have a chance with another fashion college as my confidence was severly knocked. However, I applied on an online application for FBI College of Fashion in Sydney sort of on a whim and was invited to attend an interview and the next day I found out that my application had been successful! :)

So on Monday night I came back early from my usual Scubar Monday night antics, set my alarms for 7:30am and prepared for my first time in a classroom since May!
On entering FBI I was extremely nervous but soon began to relax and I absolutly loved the lecture. The lecturer was knowledgable and had worked in the business for a long time and kept my interested (which is sometimes a difficult thing to do)

At FBI I am doing the 2 year Fashion Business Diploma course where every time you go to pick a different area of the fashion business to study. Today's was fashion buying which I was slightly dreading because of the mathematical side but after hearing about the job and what sort of skills were needed I realised that maths really was only a very small part of the job.

Soon i'll be commencing in work placements which I am really looking forward too!
Wish me luck (now off to start my assesment)

Feeling in an Inspirational sort of mood. . .

Sorry for the lack of blogs recently but I have a few in the pipeline that I need to do a bit of preperation for to make them perfect. . .so they will all be up soon!

Anyway this blog really has no point to it, just feeling in a bit of an inspirational mood and decided to put up some quotes that I think have an important and maybe sometimes even a hidden meaning.
Tell me which ones are your favourites. . .

  1. "Some of the greatest battles will be fought within the silent chambers of your own soul." -Ezra Taft Benson
  2. "When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." - Henry Ford
  3. "Don't wait. The time will never be just right."-Napoleon Hill
  4. "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."-Maria Robinson
  5. "If you don’t follow through on your dreams, you might as well be a vegetable." -Burt Munro
  6. "There are no mistakes. The events we bring upon ourselves, no matter how unpleasant, are necessary in order to learn what we need to learn; whatever steps we take, they're necessary to reach the places we've chosen to go."-Richard Bach
  7. "Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself."-Richard Bach
  8. "Be careful how you judge people, most of all friends. You don't sum up a man's life in one moment." - Al Pacino (in "City Hall")
  9. "A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."-Walter Winchell
  10. In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.
  11. Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
  12. When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us." ~ Alexander Graham Bell
  13. Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can. ~ Danny Kaye
  14. Life is like a beautiful melody, only the lyrics are messed up.
  15. The greatest challenge in life is to find someone who knows all your flaws, differences and mistakes, yet still loves everything about you.
  16. ''I am unwritten, can't read my mind,I'm undefined, I'm just beginning,The pen's in my hand, endingunplanned.....'' - Author Unknown
  17. "What is a friend? I will tell you. It is a person with whom you dare to be yourself. Your soul can be naked with him. He seems to ask of you to put on nothing, only to be what you are. He does not want you to be better or worse. When you are with him, you feel as a prisoner feels who has been declared innocent. You do not have to be on your guard. You can say what you think, so long as it is genuinely you. He understands those contradictions in your nature that lead others to misjudge you. With him you breathe freely. You can avow your little vanities and envies and hates and vicious sparks, your meannesses and absurdities and, in opening them up to him, they are lost, dissolved on the white ocean of his loyalty. He understands. You do not have to be careful. You can abuse him, neglect him, tolerate him. Best of all, you can keep still with him. It makes no matter. He likes you. He is like fire that purges to the bone. He understands. You can weep with him, sin with him, laugh with him, pray with him. Through it all - and underneath - he sees, knows and loves you.A friend? What is a friend?Just one, I repeat, with whom you dare to be yourself."-C. Raymond Beran
