RIP Alexander McQueen. . .a great loss to the Fashion World

A facebook status from a friend reporting the death of Alexander McQueen was such a huge shock to the system that I had to google it to make sure it was actually true, but as I saw more and more statuses confirming this terrible news i felt so sad. Such a loss to the fashion world, an inspirational man whose designs were incredible (skull patterned scarves) and who brought change to the cut throat world of fashion.

Whilst talking to a friend, we both agreed that even though he was not one of our favourite designers we still loved what he created and for me it has to mainly be his catwalks. One of his catwalks on my channel started my obsession with the catwalk world and my love of watching endless models parade up and down wearing clothes from different designers from all over the world!

This catwalk was the Autumn/Winter menswear 2009 - 2010 which was described as being 'like something out of a Dickens Novel' with the tall hats, white makeup, old street lamps, dark lighting and creepy atmosphere:

My condolences go out to the family who have taken down his website and are not making any statements to the press to give them time to grieve properly as the reports of him having comitted must be so hard to deal with.

Fashion has lost a true star!
